Arizona Homebuilder Puts Canadian Dollar On Par with US Dollar to Offer Tremendous Value to Potential Canadian Homebuyers

Fulton Homes of Arizona ( continues to adjust its marketing efforts to create opportunities that make the Phoenix Metro area more attractive to Canadian homebuyers. To that end, Arizona’s most recognized homebuilder is launching its “On Par” program which will match the price difference between the Canadian and U.S. dollar value, saving Canadian homebuyers approximately 3% on their home buying costs. The “On Par” promotion is effective now through February 2011.

As an example, consider the pricing model at the Fulton Homes’ Ironwood Crossing community, located in Queen Creek, AZ. The Santorini model, located inside the Mediterranean development of Ironwood Crossing, is a 3,293 square foot home with six bedrooms, an open kitchen, a walk in pantry and a spacious layout for entertaining. The home is priced at $201,745 on the Canadian dollar and $198,800 U.S. dollars. With the “On Par” program, Fulton Homes will make the Canadian dollar on par with the US dollar, saving the homebuyer almost $3,000.

Last year, Builder Magazine recognized Fulton Homes as having one of the 10 best-selling communities in America, honoring the Paradise at Ironwood Crossing community.

“Phoenix is a great market for purchasing a new home with prices that are the lowest in years,” notes Douglas Fulton , CEO of Fulton Homes. “We understand and value the Canadian homebuyer’s needs, which is why Fulton Homes is matching the Canadian dollar to the U.S. dollar, essentially putting money back into the consumer’s pockets. There is no better cold weather escape than the Phoenix Metro area with its great neighborhoods, one-a-kind golf courses and amenities like resort style pools and community centers.”

Speaking of “On Par,” Art Ferguson, Sales Associate at Ironwood Crossing, has witnessed an influx of Canadian buyers at the growing East Valley community, noting “Canadian buyers want affordable homes in a quality neighborhood where they have a beautiful home base for travel and golf, which is why the ‘On Par’ program is such a tremendous value.” With the total number of golf courses totaling 250+, the Valley of the Sun has long been known as having some of the world’s best golf destinations.

Canadians can view “On Par” offerings when they visit the ‘Canadian Corner’ section on the homebuilder’s website at This online tool is an interactive opportunity for homebuyers to view available homes, find information on U.S. to Canadian dollar conversions, current prices and low interest rates.

Fulton Homes is also a member of the Canadian Arizona Business Council and the company works closely with Glenn Williamson (aka “Mr. Canada”) to guarantee the ongoing success of building synergy and investments between Arizona and Canadians. Williamson recently flew with the mayors of Montreal and Phoenix as Air Canada is now offering a non-stop flight between Phoenix and Montreal.

Fulton Homes was founded in 1975 and grew to be among the top homebuilders and family owned businesses in Arizona. During the past year, in the face of one of the worst housing markets in US history, Fulton Homes has stood tall in a market devastated by foreclosures and short sales. Fulton Homes, which offers many homes in the $118,800 – $236,800 range, was the first homebuilder to highlight the downside of foreclosures in an informational advertising campaign. The online tool can be customized to fit the parameters of any foreclosed property, and analyze such factors as exterior paint, cabinets, and termites.
